Informix DBA Wanted

INFORMIX DBA WANTED ___________________ An immediate opening exists for a qualified Informix database administrator. This position involves monitoring, tuning, and upgrading of existing database systems and development of a database systems administration infrastructure. The position also involves database design for new systems and some maintenance of existing Informix SQL applications. Applicants should possess the following qualifications: - Experience developing and administering Informix Online databases (version 7.x preferred). - Proficiency in SQL and the Informix SQL product line. - Sound knowledge and application of database design priciples. - At least 2 years of experience in a UNIX environment with knowledge of shell script programming and UNIX utilities. - Currently reside in the United States, although US citizenship is not required. Other desirable background: - Database design for decision support and data warehouse applications. Familiarity with Red Brick Warehouse is a plus. - Experience with third-party database monitoring and performance tools. - Some experience with database application development tools, programming languages, especially C/C++, and end user query, reporting and analysis tools would be helpful but are not required. - Telelcommunications industry experience is strong plus.
