Informix backups

Has anyone been able to allow a user(not Informix) to run the ONTAPE backups? what about with On-Bar? We are running AIX 4.2 and Informix 7.24. Currently we use the ONTAPE utility for our database backups but will be moving to ON-BAR soon. We would like to allow a user, who is in test mode, to backup, but not restore the database. We do not want to give this user access to the Informix password. Nor do we want to make this person a member of the Informix group. We are already backing up every night, but this person feels the need to backup on demand. If you have found a way to do this, please respond. Thank you Zeida Heavener Broward County, FL
