When there are serious questions, many people answer them. However, when there are simple questions which can be answered by just reading the manual, then why should 20-50 busy people bother to spend their valuable time answering something so apparent. Which by the way, I'm sure the answer to your question is also in the FAQ (another question which is asked 10 times a day). Another thought is that many people have complained about the large amounts of garbage being sent to this group. I don't think the people paying for their internet mail service (on a letter basis) really welcome 20-50 replies to a simple question.
