Is there any formula to determine how large I need to make the log to accommodate this change and is there any correlation between the physical log size and the number and size of the logical logs? Currently physical log size is 50000 ------_=_NextPart_001_01C4022C.56CA4B15 Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <META HTTP-EQUIV=3D"Content-Type" CONTENT=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dus-ascii"> <META NAME=3D"Generator" CONTENT=3D"MS Exchange Server version = 6.5.6944.0"> <TITLE>Physical Log Size</TITLE> </HEAD> <BODY> <!-- Converted from text/rtf format --> <P><FONT SIZE=3D2 FACE=3D"Arial">I am trying to update the structure on = a table that has approx 1.8million records and I get an error that my = log size is too small.
