Like Brian London I too have to pay for my own messages. I often wonder at the amount of mail that gets copied many many times when people reply to messages. Don't all of your systems have a way of keeping threads together? Not my reader. I get my Informix list passed through to my cc:Mail account :( If that was the case we needn't copy the request when we submit an answer. And might I also suggest more use of sending a reply to the originator only, and not to the whole group. Part of the appeal of this (or any other tech.list) is the variety of solutions people provide to various problems/questions. If each response to a question was sent to the question sender, and not the list as a whole, most of the usefuleness of the list would be lost. You would have a list of Informix questions w/o answers. I sympathize with your plight. I too pay for my connect time (in another account) but do not pay for each message. Perhaps you can investigate alternate suppliers? Don't know about UK providers, but here in the US they are popping up like weeds... Greg Bassett
