Re: Informix on SCO Unix

Hi, It depends which SCO operating system are you using. For SCO OpenServer - there are two options: 1. Use a partition. The device names for a partion is /dev/rhd01, /dev/rhd02 .. /dev/rhd04 (four partitions on first disk) /dev/rhd11 ... /dev/rhd14 (four partitions on second disk) You can check the device names in hd manual page: man HW hd. 2. Use a 'slice' in the partition. Just use divvy to create a filesystem and the use its character special device for chunks (if you name the filesystem as infx your device file name will be /dev/rinfx) Hope it helps, Octav On Sat, Mar 27, 1999 at 11:11:41AM +0800, Mike Ng wrote: > Hi, > anyone know whether I can use the raw device in SCO Unix with Informix. > Thank you very much in advance. > > Regards, > Mike > > -- Octav Chiriac Phone: (373) 2 21 20 96 NetInfo S.R.L.
