Obviously I've never tried myself but it should be possible, ssuming hdr just works over tcp to the standard network listeners. something like this should give you the tunnel: ssh -C -L local_port:localhost:remote_inf_port informixhost -l username and then you'd need to change the sqlhosts file to point to the local machine.
