Informix PDQ & PeoplSoft Financials

I'm an Informix DBA, and we are running PeopSoft Financials 6.x and Informix Dynamic Server 7.2. I would like to turn on Informix's PDQ feature to speed up some of our nightly batch jobs, but to do so, I need to set the PDQPRIORITY environment variable. Since all of our users are ultimately logged in as 'sysadm', seting the PDQ environment variable in this account is not feasible because we don't want ALL of our queries to run in PDQ mode. My question: Have any of you turned on Informix PDQ for a PeopleSoft application? If so, I would welcome any suggestions.
