Bulk loading an Informix database

I am trying to find a way to bulk load an Informix database. Is there a preferred method to do this (short of inserting each row)? I know that with Sybase, this can be done. The problem stems from a need to load a table with many rows (tens to hundreds of thousands) each night, and timing is critical. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
