Stephen, We had similar problems with memory allocation until we increased the SHMVIRTSIZE dramatically. The dynamic memory allocation adds to this area of Shared Memory. We went from 10MB to 50MB and the system stopped allocatin additional segments. The good news is that you're up and running on 7.11. The bad news is that there are still some serious bugs in the product that are addressed in 7.12. We ran into the "light scan" bugs recently which caused 2 DBSpaces to become unreadable. Informix Tech Support had to dial-in to our system and mark them as Blob Spaces in order for us to restart the engine.
