Remote Online Slow

I have the following set up: Star Server E running Online and I-Star Version 5.01.UD1. 3B2/600 running SE and I-Net 5.00.UD1 and 4GL/ESQLC/ISQL/RDS Version 4.10. The Network is Stargroup (NOT using TCP/IP, but OSI). My goal is to use the tools on the 3B2/600 to access Online on the Star Server E. I am able to successfully access the Online Engine using all of the tools on the 3B2/600. Everything works fine except that the start up time for the perform screens is extremely slow. It takes twice as long to load a perform screen that is accessing the remote Online engine then it does to load the same perform screen that is accessing the local Standard Engine. I have done numerous benchmarking and a lot of tests but nothing seems to make it faster except removing all lookups and master detail relationships. (Of course, that is not acceptable). I even have an open ticket with Informix. Any suggestions? Has anybody done a benchmark comparison between using Stargroup and using TCP/IP? Has anybody had any problem with perform being slow accessing a remote engine? Thanks in advance, Nick DePierro
