ETX Index - too slow

Hi gurus, we're using Excalibur Text Datablade on IDS9.20 UC1 on a Linux box (PIII 667 / 512MB ram - HD Ultra-3 SCSI 10k). When we insert some file in a table with an etx filter, it takes a lot of time to complete the operation. Monitoring the server, we saw that CPU is low used, swap space is not used and saw only a Disk IO activity. We suppose that on each insert the db-engine rebuild indexes from scratch. Indexes are stored on a dedicated DBspace that is not yet full: address chk/dbs offset size free bpages flags pathname 103b66e0 5 5 0 50000 36200 46613 POS /data/informix/indexdbs Is this true? is is true, how can we avoid to wait till 30 seconds to complete the operation? We tried to set the 'fillfactor' parameters to 90,50 and 10 but nothing changed... Any hints? TIA AV
