Anyone using SE with high transaction volume?

Hi Family. One of my managers (a short dumpy guy with pointy hair around an otherwise bald head ;-) asked for references about this. Does anyone here use SE with a high volume of trasactions? Handling 40+ users? What kind of performance do you get? I tried looking for this in DenaNews and noted that someone (Mariusz M) had run benchmarks for SE. But we need info on real world performance of applications using Standard Engine. Prefereably 7.2+ of SE.
