Informix Locking Methodolgy

About 1 year ago I was at the IDS 10.00 road show in Chicago where Mark Scranton was speaking. I asked him if/when we would get a better locking mechanism than "lock mode wait x." Something, similar to what Oracle has. If I remember correctly he mentioned that it would be coming out in one of the later releases of IDS 10.00. Whats the status of this feature being implemented into IDS 10.00.UCx Thanks Peter

I can only say that the official specs for IDS10.50 have not been released yet, so there's no way to know.
