Help on SQL SYNTAX

Hi All,
Iam running this sql on a informix SQL editor.
Select * from ps_employees where emplid='110111' and empl_rcd#=0;
Its says illigal charecter "#" used in the sql query. empl_rcd# is a numeric
field name in the table.
I don't know why this error is coming. Can anyone let me know the right
syntax.
Thanks in advance
-Nagas.

Try
with this...
Select * from ps_employees where emplid='110111' and 'empl_rcd#'=0;
I hope this work..
I'm
sorry - that won't work for reasons I detailed last week.
The "empl_rcd#" would have to be enclosed in double quotes - and
DELIMIDENT set in the environment.
