Hello, We are using IDS11.50FC3 on Spark machine. One of the IDS instances which was running very smoothly, suddenly crashed. When we read the online log file, we got the following error statements. 15:07:47 Assert Failed: No Exception Handler 15:07:47 Who: Session(89168, sdm@appw, -1, 11ad3eab0) Thread(76256, sqlexec, 11ad14dd0, 1) File: mtex.c Line: 491 15:07:47 Results: Exception Caught. Type: MT_EX_OS, Context: mem 15:07:47 Action: Please notify IBM Informix Technical Support. 15:07:47 See Also: /dir/informix11.5-3/tmp/af.2dc863b1, shmem.2dc863b1.0 We have also examined the /dir/informix11.5-3/tmp/af.2dc863b1 where we did not find any query for that particular session which made this instance crash. What could be the possible reason of this error? Regards, Anees

It might be you find a published solution on IBM Informix Website with the stack signature. If it isn't obvious , you probably want to ask IBM Support for help. Rgds Tilman
Following is the information about the stack
Stack for thread: 76256 sqlexecbase: 0x00000001a1f19000
len: 135168
pc: 0x0000000100d46df8
tos: 0x0000000101430a71
state: running
vp: 1
I did not find anything like this signature from IBM site? Can we extract
anything fruitful from this information
Regards,
Anees
