Do someone know if JMS are supported in Informix 9.4? If yes, where can I find examples for such feature?
If JMS is Java Messaging Service you can work with some application server like JBoss, WebSphere or BEA. You want to use Informix as a persistence store ? What kind of JMS example you want ? > Do someone know if JMS are supported in Informix 9.4? > If yes, where can I find examples for such feature? > > > ******************************************************************************* > Forum Note: Use "Reply" to post a response in the discussion forum. > >
I have an Informix database and a MySQL database. I want to monitor operations on some of my Informix tables. Whenever one of these tabes is modified, I want to send a message to a JMS queue so that a Java program will be able to read this JMS queue and therefore update the MySQL database with the contents of these files Thanks -----Message d'origine----- De : sergio@more.... I made once table data monitoring in IDS but not with JMS but using TIBCO. This kind of aproaches are based on pooling in the table to know if there something new since the last time it was executed. I don´t agree with this way to do the things. If itwas I i create a trigger in the table that executes a Java stored procedure that by itself is a client of JMS. This way insert the data in the queue that make whatever it needs. If you just need to insert on mysql why not use a MySql JDBC driver and insert directly in MySql from the java stored procedure executed from the trigger ? > I have an Informix database and a MySQL database. > I want to monitor operations on some of my Informix tables. Since I've not heard of the acronym, I suspect that the answer is No, but I'll hold off on making that into a definitive statement until you've explained what you're asking. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2005.02 -- http://dbi.perl.org/
