The format of the database.sql file has changed in 9.21.
DBEXPORT is still there and you can export and import to 9.21.

We will also be upgrading from 7.31 to 9.2 in the next few months. I had
planned on doing an in-place upgrade to save time (we currently have about
65 GB of data). You are saying that if I do this, I will no longer be able
to use dbexport to export my data??? I use ontape as our nightly backup,
but I use dbexport / dbimport to move data from our production machine to
our development machine.
