Just delete the REPORT TO "filename" from the REPORT body and add the TO clause to your START REPORT statement, e.g. LET charvar = "file" or PROMPT "blah" FOR charvar or pass it as a parameter or ... START REPORT rptname TO charvar Report output will be written to the file name contained in charvar. You can do the same with reporting to a pipe (START REPORT TO PIPE charvar).
