RE: Compiling and running ESQL.

Has anyone received similar errors for IDS 10.0.0.UC5 on AIX 5.3.0.0. Run 'which esql' to see if the latest installed script is the one first in the path and look into the makefile to see that there isn't a hard or environment var referenced path to an older script even if the path is correct. Currently the install was with engine and sdk. Now another application wanted 4gl and that DBA copied files from 7.30 4gl to the libraries of IDS 10. Should I scrape the whole thing and start fresh or can I re-run things as TEN (Tools-4gl, Engine-IDS 10, and Network-SDK)? The two instances are small enough to back them up and remove all the IDS software files and re-install from the beginning and perform a restore. If I just run the 4gl install, then IDS, then SDK over current directories, there could still be file issues, or is that true? In theory IDS and CSDK are now order independent, but install whichever is oldest first. IDS 10.00 and CSDK 3.00 were released together so that's your baseline for judging age. Art S. Just to be correct in my understanding: 1. Shutdown both instances 2. Install 4gl - first time 3. Run ./ids_install or ./installserver, which will install both SDK 2.90.UC4 and then IDS 10.00.UC5 in the same script. This is the order that I want, correct?
