4gl field wrapping

I have a 512 char field on an input screen. It looks like Summary [smry ] [smry ] [smry ] [smry ] [smry ] With exactly 512 characters. When i use attributes smry = bills.summary, wordwrap compress; The words drop down and leave alot of dead space, so 512 chars is not possible. How can i allow words to wrap without any dead space so that the field length will be 512 chars and that is how many a user can enter?
