ODBC troubles with Informix

I am having troubles to connect an application for Web with Informix. The application was developed using Microsoft Visual Interdev 1.0 with Intersolv ODBC for Informix, version 3.01 and Personal Web Server. The ODBC connection used was Machine DSN, since File DSN with this ODBC does not work. Choosing the ODBC connection as Machine DSN requires that, when the same application is put into the Final Web Server (Internet Information Server 3.0 - IIS 3.0 - from Microsoft), the setup for the Web Server Machine DSN to be the same as it was on the PC where the application was developed.
