ODBC Driver

Hi I am having a problem with the Informix ODBC driver version 3.81. For no apparent reason whatsoever the driver stops working and as a result my server appears not to be running. It is serving pages OK, but any database connections fail. Interestingly if I restart IIS it appears to work OK. Any suggestions? (My server is W2K and the Database is IDS 7.31 running on Solaris 2.6)
