People, I have a question regarding database security. Is there a way with I can specify user access using the hostname, like in the case of mysql. For example user1@host1 has select, update, insert and delete on all tables and user1@host20 has select only on all tables
No. You can restrict the hosts a user can connect from using the .rhosts file in the user's home directory on the server, but the user's privileges would be the same regardless of host. Art S.
