informix 5.07 corruption

we upgraded our machine from version 5.01 under sco 3.2.4 to version 5.07 under sco openserver 5.0. After 3 days operation the database tablespace got corrupted. After that we could not access any database,a tbcheck -pc produced random database names.Also the archives didn't appear to work ,as a restore did fix the problem. Tech support in australia has not been able to help us. Has anybody got any ideas . Thanks in advance Ralf Peters email : marlows@iinet.net.au
