slow inserts on NT

Hi, I'm running Informix 7.30.TC7 on NT4 SP4 and I seem to be having a problem inserting with on table. I have one table with 4 columns and about 2.5 mil rows. The columns are id - integer hi_res - byte (blob about 50k) scan_date - date time img_status - char(1) Selects are fast and the rest of the app is fast but inserts into this table are slow. They used to be fast but they are getting slower and slower. I ran update statistics. Even ran them high and it did not help. Also the IECC console is slow to connect and the tablespace info takes a long time to come back (up to 1 hour). Any ideas?
