Any suggestions/recommendations - Informix Dbspace usage?

I am required to perform costing related functions on the database : What are factors that I need to consider to estimate 1. the cost versus megabyte usage of a database ? 2. the cost versus no. of sessions on the database? 3. the cost versus I/O activities performed on the database? I would appreciate if there are any pointers on how to perform costing on a database. TIA hari
