If you make your output a report module you can START REPORT TO "filename" in the calling function/main program or in the report module itself you can REPORT TO "filename" in the OUTPUT section. Report modules are easy to learn if you have not used them before. The only alternative is to write a set of 4GL callable "C" functions to output directly to files. I believe such a set of functions has been contributed to the IIUG software archives. Art S. Kagel
