Try an altavista search of the WEB and/or USENET looking for RAID7. Earlier this year, I was at a conference in Germany where one of these RAID7 vendors presented a grandiose plan for a "data fortress" or some such malarkey, supposedly a foolproof way to protect your data by striping it acorss multiple machines. They had lots of pretty Powerpoint slides showing how their products made this possible. There was also a very small asterisk on the drawing that led to a footnote: * software to be developed. They also responded to my request for referenceable accounts with a "Buy me a ticket to Australia and I'll take you to see one". The RAID7 folks point to relationships with a lot of the big vendors. Take it with a grain of salt.
