dbs pages not being released

I have a strange problem happening with Informix 5.03. After my application runs for a while, I notice that pages in the rootdbs are not being released. This eventually causes the system to crash since rootdbs is used as a temp space for tables. If I bring down Informix and bring it back up, this of course, releases the pages. I can't figure out what is causing this. The exact same application on exactly the same HP is running at another site with no problems. It would be nice to know what is contained on these allocated db pages so that I can figure out what part of my application is allocating the pages and not releasing them. Informix told me to set EXPLAIN ON and then grep through the file for anything strange. Now I have a 10 mgb sqexplain.out file and don't really know what I'm looking for. Does anyone know how to dump the contents of the dbs pages? Has anyone seen this problem before? Help! Bill
