Problem with shared memory
Posted in 1999
System : IBM RS6000 model F50 AIX v 4.2.1 (Dual processor) 512Mb memory
On this system we have 2 informix instances running :
1 Informix version 7.3 UD6 (Recently upgrade from version 5.05)
1 Informix version 5.05 UC2 (Running for several years on this machine)
We had the following problem this morning in our Informix version 7.3 (at
this moment the system was heavily loaded) With onstat -p we saw that there
was more than 110 Mb memory in use.
Error :
10:45:41 shmat: [EINVAL][22]: shared memory base address illegal
10:45:41 using 0xd0000000, needs 0xe0000000
