Informix Online problems with AIX 4.1.

Folks, We have an application using Informix Online 5.01.UD3 running fine on AIX 3.2.5. When we upgraded AIX to 4.1, the application crashes in mallocs done by the online engine. The crashes take place when we try to allocate a cursor or a descriptor. Does Aix 4.1 have a new malloc? mallocs dine by our application seem to work fine. Do we need to upgrade our Online 5.01 engine for AIX 4.1? Any and all responses on this matter appreciated. Thanx, Raj.
