Re: Is there any way to rebackup a logical log that has been marked as backed up?

No, but what version of Informix are you running? If you are running 11.10
or later you can set LTAPEDEV to the directory name and ontape will take
care of renaming the log archive files and of preventing multiple copies of
ontape from running out of the ALARMPROGRAM. Then you can use the
alarmprogram.sh that IBM delivers in $INFORMIXDIR/etc/ just change
BACKUP_CMD to 'ontape -a -d' and BACKUPLOGS to 'Y'.
Also, note that using a version of my log_full.ksh if there are multiple
logical log files full at the time the script gets kicked off (usually
because a previous run failed for space or something) or if another log
fills while ontape is still running, the log archive file may contain
multiple logs and there will appear to be a gap in the file name numbering
which will look like a log archive file is missing, but all is well.
