Using UltraEdit for 4GL sourcecode

Hello, Is anybody using UltraEdit for editing 4GL sourcecode. If so, can you tell me if it's possible to use UltraEdit to correct compiler errors (in the .err file). In other words, is it possible to configure an edit-compile cycle where the compilation is done on Unix and the editing (normal and correction) is done on Windows. Besides that, is it possible to invoke UltraEdit from a Unix session? Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated. regards, Henk vd Geld

But there is a No too, for UltraEdit, since this is possible in GWD edit. I wrote 9 'c' scripts (since GWD is using ANSI c as 'macro' language running inside the editor to extend functionality...it also supports DLL, Delphi and VB 'plugins', but that's another story. This 9 scripts make a complete RDS environment for 4GL, both C/S and local, from 'Get/open' (including version control GET), Compile, Make, Run, Debug, Put/return, and support classic 4GL, D4GL, 4GL for Windows, and 4GL for DOS (sic!). Actually, I don't ever need to go out of GWD when I code. Needles to say, there is built in grep, syntax highlighting for 4gl, context sensitive 4gl help... Transport in C/S configuration is implemented via RCP/RSH, but latest version of GWD also have FTP plugin. For more on GWD, http://www.gwdsoft.com If you want my c scripts, just ask.
