Any suggestions, >--Kate The problem is probably one of two things. 1) This user belongs to a different unix group, I think iit should be group "informix" (User account setup problem). 2) If the user was added to this new machine with a different login name, Informix will not recognize him (Informix stores user names not user ID's).
