TUXEDO / INFORMIX / ODBC question

Hi ! I have an application that needs to work with Tuxedo. I know that Informix -7 has support for Tuxedo. We were able to make a Tux transaction manager for Informix. However we were not able get the application to work with Tuxedo. But our application uses INFORMIX - CLI (essentially ODBC ) to connect to the INFORMIX database. I have my doubts about connecting to Tuxedo via ODBC (Informix-CLI) . I need to find out if this was the way it is meant to work ? Can I use CLI to connect with Tuxedo ? Or do I need a different kind of connection software/library for my application ? When Informix say They support Tuxedo, is it via CLI or ESQL. ?
