Re: i have the following problem

Hi, three possibilities of problem I can think of: - in /lib/... or /usr/lib/... you have a link (named libpthread.*) that points to /opt/informix/lib/libpthread.so.0 You should not have a link pointing from there to /opt/informix/lib/... You have to to remove this link. Possibly you have to re-create the link pointing to the correct libpthread.so.* in /lib or /usr/lib (wherever the correct libpthread has been installed on your system). - you have set the environment variable LD_PRELOAD to the value /opt/informix/lib/libpthread.so Do not set this environment variable at all. - you have somehow set environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH so that the loader selects the libpthread from /opt/informix/lib/ before checking or selecting the correct one from /lib or /usr/lib. In this case you need to correct the setting of LD_LIBRARY_PATH. Actually I think that the directory /opt/informix/lib does not need to be part of the value for LD_LIBRARY_PATH at all.
