As for Chanukah, since the word is Hebrew and uses a different alphabet you can pretty much transliterate it anyway you want so long as it sounds about right. There are two fairly standard spellings: Chanukah and Hanukah (usually with a dot above the leading 'H' to indicate that it is a glotteral and sounds like one is clearing one's throat) but Tel Aviv is not as picky as Peking (oh sorry Beijing) is about this. ;-) Art S.
