CSDK 4.10.TC2 non developer edition
Posted in 2013
User sought a non-Developer Edition of CSDK 4.10.TC2 for end-user deployment without development tools. John Miller explained that CSDK is the Client Software Development Kit, and I-Connect is the runtime version without development tools. However, user found only Developer Edition versions of I-Connect 4.10 available, not the standard runtime version. No resolution reached.

This might be a stupid question, but I can't seem to find a CSDK download for 4.10.xC2 that isn't marked as development edition. Is there such a thing as a non-developer version, and if so, what are the differences between the two? I'm looking for a package to deploy to end users, so things like OAT aren't wanted, and it needs to be able to install without having dev tools installed (perhaps I should be installing Informix connect instead?). If I look in the Informix CSDK trials and demos download IBM page, the last non-DE version I see is 3.50.TC9, the same with fix central. -Justin
Justin: CSDK stands for Client Software Development Kit I-Connect is the runtime version and does not include all the development tools. John F. If that's the case, then why do I see a listing for Informix Connect Runtime Developer Edition? In the downloads for windows (32bit), I see only these options: I-Connect Developer Edition 4.10.TC1DE I-Connect Developer Edition 3.70.TC7DE I-Connect Developer Edition 3.50.TC9DE I-Connect 3.50.TC9 I'm apparently missing something - where is the I-Connect 4.10.TC1 (no DE)? -Justin -----Original Message----- From: ids-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:ids-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of John Miller iii Sent: Monday, September 23, 2013 5:03 PM To: ids@iiug.org Subject: Re: CSDK 4.10.TC2 non developer edition [31487] Justin: CSDK stands for Client Software Development Kit I-Connect is the runtime version and does not include all the development tools.
