1.00 * 1.09 float
Posted in 1994
I did not keep the original message, just the program, but I modified
it using one of my databases, since the database part seemed irrelevant.
Running 2.10.03G (ancient) version of SQL it works fine. Is there a
problem in newer versions perhaps?
##### my version ######
database tape_lib end
define
variable calc1 float
variable calc2 float
variable calc3 float
end
select *
from tape_log
where tape_no matches "STR*"
order by tape_no
end
format
on every row
let calc1 = 1.0
let calc2 = 1.09
let calc3 = calc1 * calc2
print calc1 using "&.&&"," times ",
calc2 using "&.&&"," equals ",
calc3 using "&.&&&"
end
{From original email: Here is the output I got from that report:
1.00 times 1.09 equals 1.000
Does anyone have any idea why this might happen?
}
############
My report gave repeated lines of 1.00 times 1.09 equals 1.090
