Distributed Informix Database Question

Hello Netland: We're currently developing software with Informix 4GL using FourGen CASE tools for internal use on a 486 box running SCO Unix 3.2.2. Since the price of 486's have come down considerably we're planning on purchasing additional 486's and linking them via Ethernet TCP/IP. This all sounds good on paper but I would love to hear the real world experieces from people that have done this already.
