Hi all, what block size is used when informix is reading from disks ? That's true, but... The IO complex will dynamically merge IO blocks into bigger blocks when IO occurs on near pages. We see what IO request is pending and will combine them if we can. This kicks in mainly during checkpoints, when doing log buffer writes, when doing scan reads, or when doing IO to large objects. I think the max size is 64K. M.P.
