IUS HTML Serial Value

Informix: 9.12.uc1 Blade: web.3.30.uc6 In my HTML page, can I retrieve the value of the last serial insert just made ? IE: <?MISQL SQL="insert into mytab values (0,'hello');"> <?/MISQL> where the table has a serial value for the first column. What I then wish to do is: <?MIVAR NAME=last_serial_val>$something-or-other-to-get-me-the-serial-value-just-inserted</?MIVAR> etc Can this sort of thing be done ??
