It is happening very frequently, 2007-09-26 14:33:11 17525 6955 (-43296) WARNING: BAR_TIMEOUT Storage Manager Progress may be stalled. 2007-09-26 14:33:17 18539 6955 (-43296) WARNING: BAR_TIMEOUT Storage Manager Progress may be stalled. 2007-09-26 14:33:23 3418 6955 (-43296) WARNING: BAR_TIMEOUT Storage Manager Progress may be stalled. 2007-09-26 14:34:03 16752 6955 (-43296) WARNING: BAR_TIMEOUT Storage Manager Progress may be stalled. thanks, <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Celso Coimbra Administrador de Banco de Dados ccoimbra@cleartech.com.br Fone: (11) 3576 4509 - Fax: (11) 3576 4515 www.cleartech.com.br <http://www.cleartech.com.br/>
Hi, from the info given I can't tell exactly, what the problem is. You can try to find out more on the storage manager (SM) side, e.g. in some log files of the SM. It seems you have 4 backup processes running in parallel (BAR_MAX_BACKUP parameter in the onconfig file). Maybe this does not match with the configuration of the SM and therefore the SM cannot keep up with the load? If all that does not clarify the problem, on the ON-Bar side, you can set onconfig parameter BAR_DEBUG to a value like 4, 5 or 6. Also set the onconfig parameter BAR_DEBUG_FILE (to an absolute file path for the debug log info). In this file you can then find some more detailed info from ON-Bar after a backup run. Is there a version of Legato Networker out there that supports IDS10 ye= t? EMC was late in providing an informix module for IDS10. I am assuming t= hat previous legato module client will work but you really don't know what= to expect. jp = "Martin = Fuerderer" = <MARTINFU@de.ibm. = To com> ids@iiug.org = Sent by: = cc ids-bounces@iiug. = org Subj= ect Re: WARNING: BAR_TIMEOUT Storage= Manager Progr.... Hi, please check out this link: http://www.ibm.com/software/data/informix/pubs/porting.zip It is a compressed MS-Excel thing that contains SM support This link is on the page containing the IDS platform availability info: http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/informix/pubs/roadmaps.html EMC (Legato) is a bit slow with publishing this, even though the stuff works and this has been proved a long time ago ...
