Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Hello all,
Just one quick question for anyone who is/has been running
the Informix SE engine on Linux. The docs that I have (.pdf files from
informix)
tells how to start up the engine, but not how to cleanly shut it down,
altho'
the docs do say never to do a kill -9 on the sqlexecd daemon.
Any help on this, even a pointer to what documentation I could find
this in would be most appreciated.
