The program can use C-library calls to look-up a users password, check it and change it. I've done this on SCO Unix OpenServer 5 running Informix Online 7.12 UC. Users running a Powerbuilder program on a PC can change their Unix password without ever loggin on to the server. The Powerbuilder program executes a SP wich executes a system call that launches the C-program.
