tbcheck -cI
Posted in 1996
I'm running "tbcheck -cI" on individual tables under OnLine 5.05. It's showing me some corrupted indexes. It takes a long time to analyze some of my larger tables. Is there any reason I shouldn't/can't drop and recreate an index for table_b while tbcheck is analyzing table_j? I have found that the engine stalls if I try to load (ISQL) data into table_b while tbcheck is analyzing table_j. I am purposely not running tbcheck in quiescent mode. Many folk are making good use of the rest of the db and I prefer to drop and recreate versus having tbcheck do the repairs.
