Mark, I think he's asking for a way to calculate what to set NEXT SIZE to in an ALTER TABLE stmt. At my former job, we obtained from an Informix consultant a little C routine called "ext_size". Based on user-specified growth factor(s), it would spit out all sorts of good stuff, including recommended NEXT SIZE. We were using this on OnLine v5.xx. Is the routine still around somewhere?
