I'm not saying that you can't embed DB2. But which engine would actually be a better fit as an embedded engine? Look, I'm not going to bash the technical merits of DB2. (Then Serge will fly from Toronto and come beat me up. ;-) What I am focused on is the lack of consistency within IM and their 'go to market' message and strategy. You want FUD, you get it when you do not have a consistent message and you tell each group what they want to hear even if its conflicting information.
