Re: From php client to Informix server

THis will work. Your problem has nothing to do with Informix, its your php install. Unfortunately I don't know W2K well enough so I'm guessing that apache can't find the php dlls or php can't find the informix dlls. Assuming that phpinfo was working fine prior to the informix installl I'd look at the starting environment of apache and make sure INFORMIXDIR, PATH and INFORMIXSERVER are set Gunni wrote: > > Dear all, > > I have a question for you. > > Given the following configuration: > > - One W2K machine with Apache 2.0.40 and php 4.3.1 (from www.php.net) > installed and Informix Client-SDK 2.50 > (the one that should act like client) > - One HPUX 11 system with INFORMIX Version 9.20 > (the server) > > Is my HPUX Release and INFORMIX Version suitable for use > with PHP4 ? > > I would like to create php4 scripts that connect's from the W2K machine > to the Informix Server, execute query, etc to diplay formatted data > throught Apache. > > PHP has been configured to use the php_ifx.dll but when I execute > a simple script with only phpinfo() to see php configuration I receive > the following message: > > "cant load php_ifx.dll..." > > I know this file is in the php installation directory under extensions.
